We’re different, we know that. We literally started by accident.

When I was 16, I went through the windshield of my car—twice—after being hit by a drunk driver.

My face went through the windshield before the seatbelt locked, pulling me back in and taking my face back through the glass.

I lost over half my eyelid and was left with permanent scars on my eyelid, brow, nose, and forehead.

For 15 years, I tried everything on the market to help heal and hide my scars.

But I had extremely sensitive skin, and the skincare and makeup I was using led to red, inflamed skin, boils, cystic acne, severe acne scarring and pock marks.

It was devastating. I knew a big factor in my distressed skin was all the known irritants being added to the skincare and makeup I was using.

How Bee You Organics Began

So I started researching, developing and testing.

I began studying ingredients, herbal traditions, and the ways oils, butters, and botanical ingredients interact with the skin barrier. Over time, I realized that simpler formulas often produce better results for reactive skin.

That realization changed everything. I began experimenting with my own skincare formulas by removing water, alcohol and unnecessary fillers to see if simpler ingredients would calm my inflamed skin.

The results were astounding. My acne cleared up, my scars started to fade and my pock marks began to fill in.

Each product has a story behind how it was created, often inspired by helping a loved one solve a problem they were struggling with.

It not only helped them, but it has helped countless others as well. After years of research, development, and testing, I wanted to share the healing power of nature with others.

In 2017, we opened an Etsy shop, and in 2019, a brick-and-mortar store in Spokane, Washington.

Why We Formulate Without Water

At Bee You Organics, we believe skincare and makeup should support your skin, not overwhelm it.

Most skincare and makeup products are made primarily with water. While that may seem harmless, water requires preservatives, stabilizers and fillers to keep products shelf-stable. For many people with sensitive skin, those additional ingredients are often what trigger irritation.
